Comfy jeans are hard to find. So, if there is a small hole that is threatening to rip everything apart, help is at hand by simply patching it. And who knows, you might be creating your own fashion jeans.
Step 1. Get an iron-on patch large enough to cover the hole. You can get a designed patch which fits nicely or get a patch which you could measure for cut and paste effect.
Step 2. Once that is done, cut any loose threads from the edges of the hole before pinning the patch over the hole. Then use the iron to press the patch over the hole. Read the instructions on how long the patch should be pressed on.
Step 3. The work doesn’t stop there. Next, thread a needle with strong thread and tie a knot. You have to move on by reinforcing the patch. Go on by folding the jeans level with one edge of the patch and whipstitch the edge of the patch to the jeans, making about 10 stitches per inch. Pull the needle through the jeans and the patch with the needle at a slant, just a few threads from the edge. Continue by looping the needle over the top of the edge to the back side of the jeans.
Step 4. As soon as you reach the corner, just fold the jeans back again and continue the process by stitching the next side until all sides are stitched.
Step 5. Now everything is done. All you need to give a finishing touch is to tie a small knot on the inside of the jeans. End this step by snipping off the extra thread which is close to the knot.
